Questions to Ask During the Interview

Many people say that they draw a blank while interviewing and that they don't ask enough questions.  It is important to have a good dialogue going with the interviewer, not only to show your communication skills, but to also get a good sense of the position and the company so that you can make an informed decision if you are selected for the job!

Remember, its okay to take a momentary pause to think about your answer or question will be.  Just breathe!

A few standard questions that you could be asking in an interview:

·       What are the top strengths of the employees that excel within the company?

·       What is the dress code?

·       What are the options for advancement within the company and are there professional development programs?

·       Can you describe the atmosphere in the office?

·       What do you find is the most challenging aspect about this position (or what the employees current in this position say is the most challenging)?

Remember, these are only examples and you should research the company and the position prior to the interview to compile your list of questions.
