JOB SEARCH JOURNALLING

Journalling about your job search is a great way to deal with the stressors involved with seeking employment; it assists in releasing emotions and pent-up energy affliated with your search. It is also a means to document your job search journey. You can chose to hand-write or type your journalling. If you are artistically inclined you may chose to add drawings, photos and/or collages.

Try to journal every day and if unsure about what to write, try a generic opener such as 'Today, I.....'. Let your thoughts flow in whatever direction they want to go.

Periodically return to your previous entries and read about your journey; you may be surprised by the movement you have made as well as the changes that have occurred in your job search as well as your life!

And be sure to document when you see the light at the end of the tunnel and eventually land that job!
